Dear Colleagues,

I hope, you all are well aware that the 34^th IGC (International Geological Congress) is going to be held in Brisbane, Australia in August 2012. The 34^th IGC has selected 37 themes and under each theme a number of symposia are going to be organized by different international geoscientific bodies.

For your kind information I would like to mention here that on behalf of AGID (Association of Geoscientists for International Development), we are going to organize eight symposia under Theme-2 (available at AGID website: www.bgs.ac.uk/agid/). Also please find herewith as attachment details of AGID symposia under the Theme-2: Geoscience Benefiting Low Income Countries.

We would like to invite you all to submit abstracts and to attend the AGID symposia during the 34^th IGC in Brisbane. Your contribution and participation will make AGID symposia a great success.

It may be mentioned here that the last date of submission of abstracts is February 17, 2012 (please visit website: www.34igc.org). We will be looking forward for your scientific contribution and attendance at AGID symposia.
