Dear Colleagues,

even on behalf of the other Conveners, I am pleased to advertise the scientific sessions listed below, organized at EGU-2012 (European Geosciences Union, Vienna).

The main topics of the sessions are:

- advances in slope stability modeling,
- sinkhole susceptibility, risk evaluation and mapping,
- modeling of dangerous phenomena, and innovative techniques for hazard
evaluation and risk mitigation.

I would be glad if you considered submitting an Abstract on your studies related to the topic of the sessions.

The deadline for abstract submission is 17 Jan. 2012.

After the Conferences, the Authors of the studies presented (either as oral or poster) at the sessions will be invited to submit full papers, which will be considered for
publication in a guest-edited Special Issue of a relevant (ISI) International Journal.
