Wasn't it in the forest near Salzburg during the 1964 meeting of the European Micropaleontology Group when we were collecting Paleocene samples (with Maria B-C) on a rainy morning while being hungover (with Zeev Reiss) from a night at Gruntzing (Vienna) drinking the young (green) wine. And do you remember the (in)famous week-long Oligocene field trip (1969) which began in Mainz when we tramped into small, village hotels with muddy boots every evening and had to use the showers of the ladies (or the sinks in our rooms) to clean ourselves and/or boots! German reunification was delayed a decade by our actions!
