EGU 2020 - Call for abstracts Session TS3.6 'Upscaling of geometric, petrophysical and mechanical properties of sub-seismic-resolution structures through Discrete Fracture Network (DFN) models'

-

Società Geologica Italiana

Dear colleagues,

We would like to invite you to submit an abstract to the EGU2020 Session:

TS3.6 "Upscaling of geometric, petrophysical and mechanical properties of sub-seismic-resolution structures through Discrete Fracture Network (DFN) models"

Co-organized by ERE6
Convener: Alberto Ceccato (University of Bologna, Italy)
Co-conveners: Luisa F. Zuluaga (University of Bergen, Norway), Leonardo Del Sole (University of Bologna, Italy)

The session aims to gather contributions from different research fields in which structural analysis and characterization of fracture patterns at the sub-seismic-resolution scale is adopted as input for larger-scale modelization. The session focusses mainly on the role of outcrop-scale structural and petrophysical analyses, the quantification of fracture pattern statistics and scaling-laws and their implementation into DFNs models.

Confirmed invited speakers:
Dr. Fabrizio Agosta - University of Basilicata, Italy
Dr. Adriana Paluszny - Imperial College London, UK

Full description of the session can be found at the following link:
Deadline for support applications is December 1st, 2019
Deadline for abstract submission is January 15th, 2020 (13:00 CET)

We hope to see you in Vienna,
Best wishes,

Alberto, Luisa, Leonardo
