INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR STRUCTURAL GEOLOGY AND TECTONICS (IASGT)

 

Dear All,
 

As the new year (2026) sets in, we hope that it brings us all (globally) peace, prosperity and good health. 

 

We have 1000 IASGT members from more than 50 countries, and are in the process of expanding our footprint globally. 

It is important to motivate more youngsters, researchers, students and colleagues to join IASGT.

 

IASGT Membership as of now is FREE.

We have an upcoming IASGT Conference in ACCRA (GHANA) entitled "Structural Geology in a Changing World: Tectonics, Resources, and Sustainable Transitions"

Several activities are supported by IASGT including travel support to participate in conferences, financial support to conference organisers for meetings/conferences/workshops on topics dealing with Structural Geology and Tectonics amongst others (see www.iasgt.org for details). 

 

We are kindly supported by IUGS until now and efforts are being made to have several members registered from the Global South and also have more women geoscientists participate in our activities.
