This hybrid event will take place at The Geological Society Burlington House, London and online.
This new meeting marks a major step in bringing together the AI and geoscience communities spanning academia, industry, and policy. The programme will explore how AI (Artificial Intelligence), machine learning, and big data are transforming our understanding of the Earth, from subsurface analysis and resource exploration to environmental monitoring and climate modelling.
Alongside cutting-edge research, the event will tackle crucial topics around ethics, transparency, education, and responsible innovation, creating space for discussion, collaboration, and professional development.
If you're working with AI in any area of the geosciences or are curious about where these technologies are taking us this is an event not to miss.
Convenors:
- David Hodgetts (VRGeoscience Ltd)
- Paul Cleverley (Infoscience Technologies; RGU Visiting Professor)
- Cedric John (DERI, Queen Mary University of London)
