Science Communication at EGU 2018

Società Geologica Italiana

Hi Everyone,

This is just a quick reminder that the abstract deadline for EGU 2018 is next Wednesday 10th January. If you do any form of science communication, education, outreach, or SciArt you might want to consider submitting to the following sessions:

EOS6
Communication and Education in Geoscience: Practice, Research and Reflection
http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2018/session/27266
A great session for people who are conducting public engagement and science communication activities and who want to share their results and receive wider recognition for their work. This is the fourth year of this session running at both AGU and EGU and is a great opportunity to develop your expertise in the field.

EOS8
Scientists, artists and the Earth: co-operating for a better planet sustainability
http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2018/session/27268
This session is for scientists who have used the arts to communicate their work, or who have worked with artists, dancers, poets, musicians, theatre makers, film makers etc., to explore new ways in which their research can be addressed.

EOS9
A pilot-platform for performing your Earth & Art work
http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2018/session/27269
This is a partner session to EOS8 and offers a platform for the performance of any collaborative work between art and science.

EOS17
Games for Geoscience
http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2018/session/27280
This is a new session in which we invite geoscientists to share any games (digital or analogue) that they have developed in order to communicate or explore their research with a wider audience. There will also be an opportunity to play these games during the poster session.

Many Thanks, and see you in Vienna! ☺
