Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of geochemistry and statistics.
Short Program of the Course:

  • Historical and modern anthropogenic sources of contaminants in the environment and their effect on human health: metals, gaseous pollutant (CO, SO2, NOx, O3), organic compounds (VOCs, PAHs, OCPs) and emerging contaminants (EDC, PPCPs)
  • Environmental Risk Assessment:  general principles and methods. 
  • Case studies at regional and local scales
