Carissimi Associati SGI,
Cordiali saluti,
La Segreteria SGI
Dear all,
We are pleased to invite you to submit your contribution to our session at the EGU General Assembly 2026:
TS2.3 4-D architectural, kinematical and mechanical evolution of continental and oceanic low-angle normal faults and detachments
Are you interested in continental or oceanic detachments, how they were born, how they work, how they evolve and control continental or oceanic extension, why they are key features in magma-poor extensional settings, how they control fluid flow and mineralisations and how they inform us about the mechanical behaviour of the lithosphere, including seismicity?
If yes, this session is yours!
Studies based on a multidisciplinary and multiscale approach, encompassing, among others, field analysis, seismic and other geophysical investigations, numerical and laboratory modelling and absolute dating and petrological constraints of syn-kinematic fabrics and mineralisation, are welcome.
To submit your abstract: https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU26/session/56136
We remind you that the abstract submission deadline is Thursday, 15 January 2026 (13:00 CET)
